Colleen Johnson is a full-time professional photographer and co-owner of byfield-pitman photography. Her photographs have been published in the Globe and Mail, Photo Life Magazine and featured in Offbeat Bride. Colleen's artwork has also been exhibited at the Canada Council Art Bank, the Canadian Museum of Civilization and at Ottawa City Hall.
Colleen first studied black and white fine art photography at the Ottawa School of Art. In 2005, she earned a Photography Diploma from Algonquin College. Colleen has also earned an Honours Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Carleton University, where she studied art history and film, which continue to inform her photographic works today. Colleen began photographing weddings in 2005; she creates wedding photos that convey emotion and the natural interactions between the couple and their family and friends on the wedding day.
